The Technology Advancement Programme (TAP) is an initiative implemented by the Fund that engages unattached youths aged 18-29 over a period of twelve (12) months in ICT training and apprenticeship experience. The initiative is in keeping with the Fund’s mandate under the Telecommunications Act 2012 to “support information and communications technology programmes that specifically target vulnerable groups including youth and disabled persons”.

The programme commenced in 2016 and has trained over 1600 participants over two (2) cohorts in core skills, computer repairs, computer administration, and digitization.

Residential applications are now CLOSED for Cohort III of the Programme, which is focused primarily on the delivery of coding training in partnership with the Amber Academy, a subsidiary of the Amber Group Limited. Participants are expected to benefit from immediate and guaranteed employment as a result of the partnership, bringing Jamaica a step closer to becoming the technological hub of the region.

NB: You will be required to live on campus for the duration of the training. Accommodations are available island wide FREE of cost.
