The Universal Service Fund (USF) continues to bolster education and extend the reach and impact of its ICT programmes by providing 28 laptops to the top-performing boy and girl in the Primary Exit Profile (PEP) Examination from each parish.

The awards ceremony which was held at the Altamont Court Hotel on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, is in its second year. This year’s choice of awards was given with the intention that the devices will become tools used in the advancement of the students’ education.

Minister of Science and Technology, Hon. Daryl Vaz in his keynote address stated that over 120,000 students have fallen out of the education system in the past year owing to connectivity issues and suggested that an education system powered by technology is the way forward.
